Pain Management Interventions for Hip Fracture
Implementation of Hip Fracture Pain Management (2)
Pain management during treatment for hip fracture must take into account the prior medical status of the patient, the characteristics of the fracture, and the requirements of the treatment plan. The patient population with pain due to hip fracture is predominantly elderly women, with significant and/or multiple comorbidities that can affect both perception of pain and response to pain treatments (both benefits and harms).
