Diagnosis and Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults
Background: Diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (1 of 3)
In order to definitively determine whether a patient has obstructive sleep apnea, he or she must participate in a sleep study in a sleep laboratory or other setting. The American Sleep Disorders Association has classified the different monitors used in sleep studies into four categories based on the type of information each collects and the data synthesis mechanism utilized.
