Pain Management Interventions for Hip Fracture
Implementation of Hip Fracture Pain Management (1)
The interventions used to manage pain in elderly patients with hip fracture are used throughout the continuum of care—from soon after injury, through surgery, and in postoperative rehabilitation. The interventions include pharmacological and nonpharmacological approaches. Multimodal management treats pain with a combination approach intended to disrupt pain in more than one component of pain pathways.
