Pain Management Interventions for Hip Fracture
Controlled Trials Reporting Effectiveness for Acute Pain
Of the 71 controlled trials of pain management interventions, only 41 directly measured effects on pain. Others measured other secondary outcomes, such as mental status (e.g., delirium). This slide presents the controlled trials that reported data about effects of each intervention on acute pain and the timing of their use.
