This slide summarizes the most pertinent results, regarding quality of life and treatment team experience, from the comparative effectiveness review (CER) titled, Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Radiotherapy Treatments for Head and Neck Cancer. The next several slides (25–34) will discuss these data in greater detail. When considered together, the results indicate that there may be a clinical benefit from IMRT for some patients with head and neck cancer in terms of the occurrence of late xerostomia and quality of life related to xerostomia.
