- Statistical Analysis
Definition: The process of preparing the results or conclusion of a study. A statistical analysis usually is performed by doing mathematical calculations known as statistics.
Example: For example, in a research study to find out whether a drug works to increase bone density, the statistical analysis would look at the data for each group of people in the study and compare the results. It might examine whether the people taking the drug had fewer broken bones than people who had not taken the drug.
